Twitter/X Header/Banner Image Downloader
Save any X header banner at full resolution.
Free · Updated May 2026
The header banner is the wide image across the top of every X profile. Whether you are archiving your own design, studying how brands lay theirs out, or saving one you are allowed to reuse, xfetchy gets it at full size.
Drop in a link to the profile or a post from the account and xfetchy returns the banner at the resolution X stores, ready to download as an image. No screenshotting, no awkward cropping around the avatar.
How to use the Banner Downloader
- 1Copy the post link. On X, tap the share icon under the post and choose Copy link — or copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
- 2Paste it into xfetchy. Drop the link into the box above and press Fetch. xfetchy reads the post and finds what it contains.
- 3Download the image. Tap Download to save the full-resolution image — no cropping, no compression.
Header dimensions and best use
X header images are 1500×500 pixels (a 3:1 ratio), and xfetchy downloads that full-resolution version rather than the stretched preview. That makes it ideal as a design reference or a backup of your own artwork. As always, only reuse a banner you created or have permission to use — artwork is owned by whoever made it.
Designing your own banner? Keep the crop zone in mind
If you are studying a downloaded banner to design your own, remember X displays the full 1500×500 image differently across surfaces — the profile page overlaps the bottom-left corner with your avatar and crops the visible area slightly differently on mobile versus desktop. The safest layout keeps any important text or logo centered in the middle third of the image, well clear of the avatar corner and the outer edges that get trimmed on smaller screens.
